DC Attorney General says earlier boo-boo justified sending undercover officer to spy on peaceful protest group

DC Attorney General says a cop who got a boo-boo months earlier justified sending undercover officer to spy on a peaceful protest group.  Peter Hermann of the Washington Post covers AG Irv Nathan’s lame justification for violating the rights of United Students Against Sweatshops.

Nathan now says a Cop who got a boo-boo at a Gap protest sparked MPD to engage in pervasive spying against United Students Against Sweatshops. But when boo-boo case came up for trial, cop didn’t bother to show. Case dismissed. Appointed DC AG Irv Nathan now sides with police. A reason why DC Voters 3-to-1 voted for an elected AG.
