Tim Craig of the Washington Post is reporting that some members of the DC Council are now ready to take up marijuana decriminalization. If the Council doesn’t act, a ballot initiative might be necessary in 2014.
But a ballot initiative would require 30,000 valid petition signatures, and DC’s voter rolls are still in disarray. It would be so much easier to garner 7 votes on the DC Council. Stay tuned.
