COLORADO JUDGE SAYS MARIJUANA CONTRACTS ARE UNENFORCEABLE

In states where medical marijuana is legal, what does a grower do when a dispensary fails to pay for his pot shipment? Not go to court, at least in one Colorado county.

In Arapahoe County, District Court Judge Charles Pratt found a contract between a grower and a dispensary is void, because contracts to do something illegal are unenforceable.

This ruling may change after November 6th. A referendum known as Amendment 64 would legalize marijuana under state law. That might require a state court  to reconsider.  Stay tuned.
