Today Connecticut joins 16 other states, plus the District of Columbia, in legalizing marijuana use for medical purposes. Under the bill, patients must register with the Department of Consumer protection and need a certification by a physician that they have cancer, HIV/AID or other debilitating disease. The U.S. Attorney for Connecticut says state law or no law, he’s ready to go after anyone who grows, transports or distributes medical marijuana. Stay tuned.
