NORML is reporting the results of a November live telephone poll by DAPA Research indicating that 58% of Massachusetts voters favor legalizing marijuana.

Massachusetts is one of 13 states which has already made possession of small quantities of pot a “civil infraction,” not a criminal offense. Mass. voters have now had a chance to live with the “civil infraction” system, and must like it.

No arrests, no lawyers, no jail, and no criminal record.

Unfortunately, in DC, Maryland & Virginia, clients are still arrested, prosecuted and jailed for possession of personal-use quantities of weed.

Home to Harvard and M.I.T, with 62% of the population having attended college, Massachusetts has been called America’s “brainiest state.” They sure are showing it on this issue.
